“The ocean is in constant flux, and when you spend
a lot of time in it you become like a floating bottle with a message inside” – Jaimal Yogis
An old roommate and now someone I consider a good friend gave me Saltwater Buddha by Jaimal Yogis. About a year ago I finally started reading it then a few weeks later put it down which lead me to last week when I picked it back up only to fly right through the remaining pages. (I should have finished it a year ago, but things happen.)
Saltwater Buddha, a memoir about a teen who escapes to Hawaii stepping away from reality (in Sacarmento, California) and the journey that follows will inspire all. Whether you are a surfer, skater, snowboarder, or just outdoor enthusiast you will relate to Jaimal’s coming-of-age journey through surfing and Buddhism. Be ready to feel inspired to chase what you are passionate about.
