I don’t know about you, but it was a gorgeous weekend in Lake Tahoe. I’m talking about 60 degrees and nothing but sunshine!
Friday started with a little mom time. Yup I got a hair cut. Funny thing — I made this appointment in the beginning of January. I guess I was confident I would have the baby before Feb 13.
With a new Valentine in our life this year we kept it really low key. We kicked off Saturday morning with our newborn photo shoot and rounded out the evening with dinner in. Here’s a sneak peek…
Guess who is already fitting nicely into her pre pregnancy jeans? Yours Truly! Oh this made me feel so good. Yes, I’m soft like a marshmallow right now, but I know I’m not too far off from tightening everything up. Fingers crossed I’m cleared to workout this week.
Breast feeding makes you hungry! I don’t think I was ever this hungry during my pregnancy. Maybe it’s the fact that I’m home all day too. I definitely feel like I’m continuously snacking. Here’s what one day over the weekend looked like.
Breakfast: Steel cut oats with almond milk, honey, walnuts and red raspberries
Mid morning snack: Lara bar
Lunch: Chicken Salad
Dinner: Turkey Lasagna with a Kale Salad
I’m pretty sure there were a few other snacks that day like banana with peanut butter, dried mangos or 180 Pops.
We took full advantage of the nice weather with daily walks. I’m working up to 3 miles and at a quicker pace. Right now it’s slow and steady. Oh and the views aren’t bad either.
For a little extra workout I’m wearing my babe during our walks. We personally have the Boba Wrap and Ergo, but have only used the Boba Wrap so far. It’s supper easy to use, our girl loves it and it’s comfortable for mama to wear!
We started baby wise training this weekend and so far so go! Oh, there were tons of snuggles too.
