We were busy this weekend working on the house and enjoying the warm Tahoe weather. Yesterday, I think it hit 80!
We started out the weekend with a run to Lowe’s to pick up a few double-pane windows unfortunately only one would fit in my car (we’ll need a truck for the other two). Nick spent the rest of Saturday installing this bad-boy. And yes it took way longer than he thought.
While Nick was slaving away on the house I went to Kiva Beach to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday.
Roxy even got some swimming in this weekend. Of course the little dog got plenty of walks down to the river for some sticking throwing. Rough life, right?
I busted out my Columbia Powerdrain shoes and gave them a good test in the river… full submersion. And yes they are awesome! Full review coming soon….
Sunday afternoon, I convinced Nick to take a trip to the Aspen Hollow (local nursery), we picked up a few plants for the front and called it a day.
After planting our newly purchased plants Nick started in on a raised planter bed (not pictured) and I headed to Secret Beach before calling it a night with beers and homemade pizza (I forgot to take a picture oops!).
All-in-all it was a great weekend, full of fun and house work. That’s how we roll. How did you spend your weekend?
