Today was another spectacular day in Tahoe, with the high set to hit 70 degrees Nick and I set out in seek of yet another waterfall, Horsetail Falls. Horsetail Falls can be seen from highway 50 coming or going from Tahoe to Sacramento. Obviously, Spring is the best time for the hike as the snow begins to melt spilling from cliffs that form a narrowing valley, down huge granite slabs, from the clear pools of Pyramid Creek, which flows toward and away from the trail. A good portion of the hike is by trail, but once you hit a certain point it’s a rock scramble to the top.
Nick Right before we were about to enter desolation wilderness.
Just one of the small falls off of Horsetail.
It’s right pass the trailhead
Horsetail Falls – This is what you would see from Hwy 50.

Your images are awesome and convincing me to visit there. I have listened mush about these falls that it looks so pretty in the month of February. I still not visit these falls. It’s my wish to visit these falls after my hawaii bus tours. There is a lot to capture and enjoying so I must go there with my family for hiking. Hope it would be a perfect trip of us.
