Top Row: Joya Rocking Chair // Shelter Swivel Glider with Slipcover // Sparrow Glider Ottoman Middle Row: Luca Glider Ottoman // Comfort Grand Swivel Rocker // Tufted Wingback Rocker Bottom Row: Sleepytime Rocker // Retro Rocker // IKEA POÄNG Rocking chair
Baby M’s nursery is starting to come together nicely! We’re still sticking to an eclectic modern style and the chevron rug works with our Pottery Barn bedding!
The latest great debate is glider, rocker, sitting chair or no chair at all. Personally I’m not a fan of the typical glider, so I’ve been on a mission to find a modern glider/rocker. The nine options above prove there are modern glider/rockers for every budget.
We’re leaning towards the Ikea Poang rocker, but have even discussed just purchasing a normal chair. Have you seen this Ikea rocker hack? It might be a great long term option if you’re looking for a chair that will work post baby.
Current Mamas: Do you have a glider/rocker in your nursery? How much do you use it? If you’re not currently on the path to parenthood, you might want to pin this for future reference 🙂

CUTE ideas! we are getting a glider that is somewhat modern looking so we can put it in our bedroom after the baby grows up. xo jillian – cornflake dreams

Love the tufted wingback!! We have the Charleston rocker by PBK and it is SO comfortable! I find myself sitting it in all the time now. It came with the rocker legs and regular legs so we can switch them after baby and it will be a regular chair again.

I am thinking of the strandmon Ikea chair so we can use it later. My sister in law got it for her nursery a few years ago and it is classy and comfy.

I think the Luca Glider Ottoman is the best with simple design and smooth movement.
