I’m back today with my final recap from our trip to Portland. Of course, there will be more food but today it’s all about our overall trip.
Feast was a whirlwind!
Besides Feast Portland we explored Portland and the surrounding area.
After riding the MAX light rail into the city center, checking into the Hilton Downtown and picking up my Feast blogger pass we decided to wander around the city with no destination in mind.
First up was lunch at one of the many food carts! Next we stopped in The Spice & Tea Exchange of Portland and Powell’s Books before getting ready to our first Feast event.
Friday we rented a car and headed to Multnomah Falls.
After checking out the falls and snapping a few photos we continued along the Columbia River Gorge to Hood River for Lunch. The views were breathtaking.
Once in Hood River we decided on lunch at Double Mountain Brewery.
Nick enjoyed a pint of Hop Lava.
We split a greek salad and truffle shuffle pizza.
After lunch we walked around town. Hood River has a cute little downtown lined with shops and restaurants. Of course we had to stop at Mike’s for ice cream! The baby demanded it. I love that they offered smaller portions too.
We couldn’t leave without a stop at Full Sail Brewery! Unfortunately we missed the brewery tour, but that’s ok since I wouldn’t have been able to enjoy any beers.
Instead Nick went for a flight of beers. Afterwards he said he wished I could have split it with him. Next time babe.
On our way back to Portland we stopped at the Bonneville Dam and geeked out. The fish ladder was pretty cool and we were able to watch a fair amount of fish make their way up the ladder.
Friday evening was mellow — dinner at Bottle + Kitchen and an early night.
Saturday before Feast we strolled around the city. I had the freshest blueberry pancakes at Bijou Cafe before heading to the Portland Art Museum and then Feast for more food.
Sunday we wandered around the city for a bit then packed our bags before heading to Feast and home.
We did make our way to Stumptown Coffee for a soy latte 🙂
Although we didn’t see everything we wanted to there’s always next time.

I highly recommend visiting OR. We can't wait to go back and explore more. Lucky us it's about an hour flight from Tahoe!
