Hi Friends…
Let’s cut to the chase, I teamed up with South Tahoe Crossfit to help raise funds for Barbells for Boobs! Our event is October 24, and all are welcome to join. If you would like to support the cause, donate HERE. My goal is to raise $400, while our box goal is $5,000 — we are nearly there.
About Barbells for Boobs: A 501 (c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to the early detection of breast cancer, with an emphasis on women under the age of 40 and men. Inspired by athletes everywhere, local communities come together, fundraise, and help us detect potentially life threatening breast cancer occurrences. 100% of the grant funds allocated go to direct services, there are no administrative fees connected to the grants.
MY WHY
Having had two heart surgeries and Emerson spending a week in the NICU, supporting a cause [or two] is important to me. While I myself have never had breast cancer, I’ve know a handful of those who have.
Without organizations like Barbells for Boobs, too many women under the age of 40 and men could go days, months or years before finding out they have breast cancer. Everyone has a right to know.
This is an opportunity to combine two things I love, Crossfit + raising funds to help detect potentially life-threatening breast cancer occurrences. Who doesn’t want to workout and save boobies!
HOW YOU CAN HELP
Make a donation of any amount on my fundraising page. For every $80 raised, ONE more person will know if they are living with breast cancer.
Every little bit helps. Instead of purchasing a coffee today donate the $5 to this amazing cause.
Additionally, you can help spread the word and help me reach my goal by sharing this page on Facebook and Twitter. Or even better, send an email to friends you think might be interested in contributing and include a link to my page.

Thank you in advance.

As a new reader I had no idea you had two heart surgeries, or that lil Emerson spent time in the NICU. So glad everything has worked out okay. What a great cause, I, like you, love to get behind a cause I believe in.
