It’s strawberry season and our local Whole Foods Market is now carrying delicious fresh organic strawberries! They’re even grown right here in California at Swanton Berry Farm (Davenport, CA) and Well Pict (Watsonville, CA)!
I love all things berry — blackberries, blueberries, raspberries and of course strawberries! We actually have strawberries and raspberries growing in our garden. Did you know that strawberries are one of the dirty dozen? So it’s best to buy organic when purchasing. I’m craving a bowl right now!
There are so many ways to enjoy strawberries this season, but I can’t wait to try strawberries & coconut water, strawberry cheesecake muffins, strawberry basil sangria or strawberry mango salsa! Oh, I could go on and on about all the delicious recipes I want to try, but that will have to wait for another day.
Did you know there are tons of health benefits associated with eating strawberries? A single serving of strawberries has approximately 150% of your
daily requirement of Vitamin C! This super food has also been linked
to help with brain function, high blood pressure, heart disease, arthritis, cancer and tumor growth.
Who’s ready for a bowl of strawberries?!
Whole Foods Market also partnered with Chef Hollie Greene of JoyFoodly.com. She’s sharing some tasty seasonal recipes. Lucky you I tested out her Dreamy Creamy Strawberry Whipped Fools and am sharing it below.

i loooove strawberries and here is another weird thing i don't like them cold i either eat them straight when i get home from the store or i let them come to room temp before eating, they taste better to me that way

I would agree!
