Earn Cash Back with Ebates

Ok, ok maybe you’ve heard of it, maybe you haven’t. If you’re looking to earn some extra cash you might want to start shopping with Ebates.

Over the last few years I’ve heard various bloggers swear by it and I thought, get paid to shop? Sounds to good to be true. You really do get paid to shop. Living in Tahoe I do most of my shopping online, thank you amazon prime! So I deiced to give it a shot.  I figured why not make a little extra cash to do something I am already doing.

Right before starting all my christmas shopping I made sure to sign up for Ebates. Before I knew it I earned $6 here and $.25 there. In the end it all adds up. Oh to top if off I received a $10 Target gift card after my first purchase just because I was using Ebates!

After a few shopping trips and friend referral I’ve earned $71.72! That’s all free money to me. While it might not seem like much it just covered a week of groceries, month of gas or other bills.

What is Ebates?
Ebates is a company that gives you cash back if you click through the links of the stores listed on their site.

The company is an affiliate 1,500+ online stores, like Amazon, Target, Walmart, Best Buy, Kohl’s, and Etc. What’s an affiliate? An affiliate is a person [or company, in this case] that makes a small commission for referring people to somewhere.


How does it work?
After simply signing up using your email address you can start shopping and Ebates and earn up to 25% cash back. How? Their stores pay them a fee when you shop. Ebates then shares the fee directly with you – it’s just that simple.

How to earn cash back?
Purchases you make at Ebates stores are only credited if you start your shopping session at Ebates.com or another Ebates service [like the Ebates toolbar] and click to a store via an Ebates link. I personally use the toolbar so I’m not missing out on any cash back. Ebates also searches for discount codes, helping you save even more.
