Last night I finally watched the documentary FED UP. It’s crazy and sad that obesity is still on the rise especially among children. It got me thinking about simple ways to improve your health today. While I totally believe in finding a balance I also believe it’s up to us to be knowledgable and provide our family with truly healthy options. In the documentary parents thought cereal was a healthy option! People — even what’s marketed as healthy cereal is full of sugar. Sugar and processed food is what’s killing us. Plus an lack of exercise, but you can’t out exercise a bad diet. I challenge you to make a few small changes today that will impact your overall health long term. Are you in?

5 Simple Ways to Improve Your Health
Drink Water
Everyday you should at least drink half your body weight in water. Ditch the sugary drinks they are doing nothing for you. I have a 40 oz. Hydroflask and fill it up at least twice a day.

Take a Daily Vitamin
As we get older we need a little help. When I was pregnant I found out I was vitamin D deficient even though I eat a ton of spinach, eggs and salmon! Anyway along with a multi vitamin (specifically for woman) I take vitamin D. I’m currently loving Nature Made adult gummies! Why should kids have all the fun vitamins?! Grab a bottle the next time you’re at Target.
Whether it’s taking vitamins or supporting your diet and exercise, Nature Made believes in doing that one extra thing to better your overall wellness. Move at least 20 Minutes Everyday
Life is too short to stay cooped up. Get outside and stretch those legs. You Don’t have to hit the gym everyday. Go for a walk around the block, try golfing, skiing or go for a hike. The point is to get your blood flowing and heart rate up.
Get 7-8 hours of Sleep Daily
Life’s just better when you have a good night sleep. Drinking plenty of water throughout the day and exercising will help you sleep better too!
Eat Clean
Personally I follow the 80/20 rule. Following a clean diet will help with weight management and will improve energy levels. No one feels good after a day of hamburgers, pizza and ice cream. I start my mornings with either a green smoothie or avocado toast and 3 eggs!
Bonus Tip : Take a Vacation
There’s nothing like reseting your mind and body on a beach somewhere.
What’s better than a vacation? Winning a spa vacation! Yup, that’s right Nature Made® Vitamins is also hosting a Sweepstakes, through April 9, 2017, where you can enter to win a 4-day/3-night trip for two to the Red Mountain Resort in Ivans, UT. Enter HERE.
