So the hubby is pretty hard to shop for. When I asked him for ideas his response was “ice fishing gear.” Since I don’t have a clue about ice fishing I put together a list of other items I knew he would like.
Oh, I did buy him and ice auger for his birthday (it’s the thing that cuts the ice). Maybe santa will leave him a Bass Pro Shop gift card in his stocking.
iPhone5: Nick has been talking about upgrading his phone well before I made the
switch from a blackberry to an iPhone. What is he waiting for – his phone to die? I’ve washed his current phone twice and it still works! At this rate his the phone will outlive him.
Columbia’Triteca’ Soft Shell Jacket: My lil bro has this jacket on his wish list.
It’s a great base layer or for walking the dog, hiking, snowboarding or running errands.
Happy Socks: My feet would be happy in these socks. They’re a perfect stocking
stuffer!
Ugg Byron Slippers: Nick loves his
slippers. Up until last month he had two pairs he switched between. Now he just
rocks the SOREL
Manawan Slippers, but knowing him he wouldn’t mind another pair and these
Uggs are right up his alley.
jcrew Leather Kit: It’s nice having a travel bag that lasts over the years. I love
this leather bag from jcrew. It would even make a great gift for dad.
SOREL King Stacked Chukka: When it’s snowy in Tahoe we pretty much live in snow
boots. SOREL is giving a new meaning to snow boots. With these boots Nick could
run to a meeting without having to change shoes at work on snowy/icy days.
Smith Optics I/OX Goggles: We snowboard a lot and there’s nothing better than a
pair of goggles from Smith.
Recycled Farm Machinery Deer: OK – so this might not be on Nick’s list but I think
it’s perfect for his man room or maybe above the mantel. I bought this antler print from Etsy
this summer and love it.
Hydro Flask: According to Hydro Flask “you can fill the
vacuum-insulated Hydro Flask Water Bottle with beery
goodness, water, hot chocolate or whiskey.” The part your
guy will like other than beer and whiskey– it keeps hot beverages hot for up to 12 hours and cold
beverages cold for up to 24 hours!
Leatherman OHT Multi-tool: Nick already has one or two of these, but they make a nice
stocking stuffer and your guy can never have too many. Think one for the car,
house, office, spare, etc.
There you have it my hubs list and a little
extra.

I love lists like this because for some reason I have NO IDEA what to get my husband this year for Christmas. Apparently he's already bought my gift, which makes me feel terrible 🙂 I like seeing "for men" gifts because it really does give me good ideas!

Ohh, some great recommendations here. Loving the boots and the socks, especially. Thanks for sharing and happy holidays, liz
